Carbon Light Life
A series of drawings made by wild animals on glass plates, coated in carbon. After many hours of tracking each animal, to work out its daily habits, the glass was laid out on a trail where the animal was likely to pass. The images record the moment in the time that the animal's life and mine, crossed.
Carbon deposited on glass (from a flame) is inert and causes no harm to the creatures. Each glass plate is then hermetically sealed with a clear glass sheet, framed and then back-lit to show as a series of light boxes.
